THE IDEA BEHIND SMALL
Small C++ began with a memory: the joy of making a computer do something in GW-BASIC. The developer wanted to bring that feeling to learning C++.
Small Basic is a simple programming language and development environment created by Microsoft for beginners. Its approachable tools help newcomers write their first programs and see the results. The name Small C++ is a nod to that spirit: small first steps, and the joy of making something work.
Complexity arrives when you have a reason to care. What you learn is real C++ from the start, and it stays useful as your programs grow.
